# about
apparel for people who read the docs.
Clothing for engineers, tinkerers and the tech-obsessed who want to wear something that gets the joke. Every piece should feel like it was designed by someone in the room.
the premise
Most "geek merch" is a lazy pun printed on a cheap blank by someone who has never been paged at 3am. We are trying to do the opposite: jokes that are technically correct, set in type that respects them, on garments worth wearing in public.
If a shirt needs a caption to explain itself, it did not work.
the mix
The catalog runs two layers on purpose, and both are always present:
- deep cuts — jokes that only land if you have felt the pain. These earn credibility with people who have actually shipped things.
- broad — nerd-culture humour a wider crowd gets, without being cringe.
The deep cuts make it legit. The broad ones pay for the deep cuts.
how it is made
Everything is printed on demand. Nothing is made until you order it, which means no warehouse full of unsold shirts and no landfill at the end of a season. It also means every order takes a few days to produce before it ships, and it means we cannot take a shirt back because the size was wrong — there is no shelf to put it back on. That trade is covered plainly on the returns page.
Blanks are Bella + Canvas 3001 unless a product says otherwise. Printing is DTG.
the domain
wearz.com has been registered since 25 May 1999. It predates the shirts by a considerable margin.
what this is not
Not a dropshipper reselling other people's designs. Every slogan here is written for this store, and anything traceable to a single author gets rewritten rather than lifted — including the ones everybody assumes are public property.
